Bowl Game Snub?
Any chance that Pitt misses out? I think a lot of teams won this weekend so there are a lot more teams than bowl?

The team really needs the extra practices.

Let's see. Next weekend after the title games we'll know? Steve better be working the phones. I would think if Clemson gets a BCS bid and assuming FSU beats Duke, that would be good for Pitt.

Clemson should get the Orange Bowl bid since the ACC and the OB are linked - just like MSU will go to the RB. The majority of the predictors are saying Pitt to Little Caesars to face a MAC team.

Pitt will not miss out on a bowl. Now, it may be in Detroit... and I know you don't want to hear it, but the BBVA Compass bowl is not totally out of play yet.

I'd rather go to the BBVA than Detroit.

I think we'll make a bowl game. The ACC will probably pull any strings they can to get us somewhere since we're new. Obviously we'll accept wherever we can. It would be really crappy to have it be Birmingham again.

If it's true what I'm reading about Notre Dame to the Hawaii Bowl, that opens up the Pinstripe Bowl for a Pitt/Rutgers match-up... (or a MAC team if Rutgers loses)

I keep hoping that Pitt will land in the Pinstripe Bowl one of these years. It'd be a really short trip for me from NEPA. I think I would like to get there to see NY and Yankee Stadium as well.

Unfortunately, it hasn't happened yet.
