RE: I lost respect for CJF today
The only reply I would have for such a stupid-azz thread such as this is to pose a question (Ronald Reagan style):

Is this football program better off today than it was after Porter's first two years or after West's last three years?

I know what my answer is and it isn't even close.

You're right but a lot of people don't know enough about the game to understand much more than the final score. Taken in a vacuum, yesterday's game was a disaster; taken as a part of the entire season it was an understandable (albeit EXTREMELY disappointing) bump in the road after a tough loss last week to Louisville that eliminated the team from bowl consideration.

I'm so sick of losing football games I could puke but the level of commitment from the University at least allows hope for better days ahead.......

That is a legitimate gripe.

Fuente is great and so is Josh.

I didnt lose respect, but I think it wouldve been nice to let the seniors start. Karam did a great job for us last year and has been nothing but class. Again, I think it would have been nice, but I respect his decision.

I didn't have any issue with the post game press conference, but I also think that there is some validity to Claw's comment. I'd probably tie it more to the game being out of reach the last few minutes than our record; but this seems to be a reasonable comment in my opinion.

We're in game #11 today and he should know who has or has not "bought into the program". I will not even bring up the penalties, lack of discipline and other things that are reflective of coaching.

On another note, Temple played the aggressive style that we should have today because they had nothing to lose...neither do we but you could not tell that today. Congrats to them because they came in prepared and played to win and they did just that.

I agree 100%. This is exactly the way Memphis fans should react to this crap. Yet many of us do not because we continue making excuses for a crap product.

So when did the players quit on him? To me it has looked like the team has been willing to run through walls for Fuente for two years now. So what happened over the last 10 days for you all that are sold on the coach being the reason for players quitting?
