Mike Farrell on the Matt Sims sweepstakes
Louisville is still without a commitment in the 2007 recruiting class, although they are presumed to be the team to beat for New Jersey quarterback Matt Simms.

For those of us who aren't members, do we get any kind of summary of what was said?

I did not want to get to detailed in a primy article but he does feel we are the team to beat for his services.

Suprising, as I just read the other day on the BC board that they were still the team to be but that UofL had moved closer. I guess we shall see, but as you know Quarterback is the position I'm least worried about. Petrino can take an average highschool QB and make him a good to very good College QB. His offensive is perfect for most College ready qb's.

I am very interested in seeing Tyler Wolfe this fall. Very tall QB and what appears to be a decent athlete as well.

Even if Brohm leaves this year I have a lot of faith in Hunter Cantwell. Also Tabby Francis who was a 3 Star QB/ATH will be coming in January on a Greyshirt.

Maize I honestly forgot all about Tabby Francis, this kid pretty much ran a allstar team in florida. I forgot about Francis and I'm also interested in seeing Wolfe in action, I've seen some film, but film sometimes can be smoke and mirrors because you only get to see the fantastic plays. So I'm definitly interested in seeing how quickly he picks up the game at the collegiate level. As good as Matt Simms looks on film, I think Garcia and Larry Smith look better. Larry Smith moves in the pocket very good and he has a nice arm. Supposedly we are his favorite, but regardless I think we are in good shape at the QB position. We still have Cantwell who is the second best QB in the state and probably one of the better QB's in the big east.
