Read that article this morning and thought it's nice to see a positive piece on UAB. Jonathan is a great kids, who gave his best for UAB. Thank you for being a Blazer, Jonathan.

JP Wrote:This is the first time I've seen fans love their players for who they are and not just because of their athleticism. I appreciate those fans more than I could ever imagine.

And THIS is why we are Blazers. No matter what the score Saturday or the final record is, UAB gave JP a chance to better himself, and he deserves our support in whatever's next for him. He's been such an ambassador for UAB. The minute we stop acting like the quote above, we've lost our way. Remember this when we're used to winning in the future.

And, I'd just like to tack on that I'm thankful we are all connected to such a wonderful institution that is represented this way, rather than the garbage you'll see on TV Saturday afternoon after we're celebrating sending JP and the rest of the seniors out on a good note.

One of my favorite Blazers ever. I would hire him in a second. That is the kind of person that I want representing us. He will be successful in whatever he does in life.

When people ask why UAB should have football this article answers that question.

Regardless of what the scoreboard says, JP will be just fine.

Exactly why. I couldn't be prouder of him or being a Blazer because of kids like him.
