From a comment to the story:

"I was standing three feet away from the entire incident. I have no dog in the fight since I was there with the Villanova team, but I can say, Cantu never sad a word- he just stood up as everyone was crowding around Floyd and Enfield. The two African American assistant caches were the one who escalated the whole incident above an animated conversation to a potential street fight. Those two were yelling at Cantu both saying "I'm going to F*** you up" over and over as they were being restrained. They showed such little class it was embarrassing. Hard to believe they are Division 1coaches representing a high profile university. It doesn't seem that Enfield has endeared himself to the coaching profession and furthered it tonight with his staff."

This article touches on the possibility of the Sun Bowl leaving USC out and taking UCLA instead (even if USC was to win the game between the two). USC would go then to the Vegas Bowl, and I'm sure some of their fans would be happy..... But they won't play on CBS..... And the payout at the Las Vegas bowl is $1.1M, vs. $2M from the Sun Bowl.

To turn them down for UCLA, would add insult to injury..... Dear Sun Bowl Committee, please pick UCLA!!....... 04-chairshot

Sounds like a bunch of men not realizing how to behave like professionals in a public setting.

Doesn't Floyd have a history of anger issues ?

Personally witnessed this action.

don't think bowl payout makes a difference since most conferences put all the money into one pot and split it

I am glad Floyd confronted Enfield about the Hamilton situation. Floyd does seem to come off as the aggressor in the situation but the USC staff comes off really bad IMO. I know Floyd really wants to play USC and get the chance for the team to kick the crap out of them. As far as the Sun Bowl is concerned, I never want USC to be invited the Sun Bowl. Last year they bashed the city then played a crap game. They came one other time and bashed El Paso only to get killed by TCU. I don't consider them a rival but I root for every one of their teams to lose every time they play.

It will also be funny when Hamilton (Tamperee), helps UCLA kick the crap of Enfield's (Tamperer) team.

Tamperer tampered with tamperee, and tempers flared; tamperer now needs a tampon.

Correct, but for the mighty USC Trojans to play for a 1.1M payout.... They might as well play in one of those obscure AAC/CUSA/SunBelt/MAC bowls those P5 teams love to make fun of.

That would be equivalent of them playing in the CBI. Ohh, what an insult.

I'm watching the usc-villanova game and the announcers seem to make floyd the bad guy in the whole scenario. And the way they describe Cantu it's as if Cantu instigated the continuance. I'm wondering if these guys work for espin.

meh.... It's called being a man. Enfield made some disparaging remarks about Floyd and El Paso, I'm glad Floyd put him in his place.

I'll tell you. Espn can go to hell. I hate the way they will always disparage a smaller conference team in favor of the big boys. Screw USC too.

Enfeld was rumored to be in the running for odu. He then went to usc. So glad he seems like a tool now. Hell be down in the conferences he makes fun of soon enough.

"A lot of comments about a great city that I live in. My grandparents were raised there, by father played at the University of Texas at El Paso, I've lived there 23 years. And I certainly didn't appreciate that....."

Many in the media don't like him.... But right or wrong, a man that stands up for his town, is a man I respect.

Everyone in this town loves coach Floyd..... except for a certain PAC12 fan, that is.
