RE: Georgia State vs. South Alabama Game Week Thread
I'm torn on this game on who to root for:

I like most USA fans. Good people, good team too.
But I feel for the Georgia State guys. They play tough ball, and I want them to get that W.
Of course, at the same time, I don't want to wish their first win to be on any team I like... so it's a quandary.

Georgia State is due and I believe a win is very possible. South Al is an up and down team. We will see. Panthers in a close one, 31-30. USA will bring a crowd, so GSU needs more than their 5,000 fans there.

RE: Georgia State vs. South Alabama Game Week Thread
This is the week that makes or break a man. As much smack as I have talked about Georgia St over the last year is staring me straight in the face. If we lose, I have to accept the defeat and take a beating from GaSt fan, and it will be well deserved.

Hopefully we are not the first victim, but someone will be.

Good Luck everybody, hoping for a good game.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!04-cheers

GO JAGS!!!!

Dont know about them bringing a crowd. Its a 4-6 team playing at a 0-11 team 2 days after Thanksgiving. Expect a low attended game.

Panama, you are aware South will be seeking revenge for that loss previously suffered at the Dome aren't you? A bunch of tickets have been sold and fans are planning on making the trip. I will be there and will bring 3 others. USA will be there in numbers. We had a huge group at the last game.

You know more than I do, I'm sure. I am being optimistic and will wish for a good crowd and a good game. Best of luck.

RE: Georgia State vs. South Alabama Game Week Thread
I think the timing of this game means a low attended game. I was excited about this being the first game of the season before MTSU and FAU bailed early and forced us all to add a game and reshuffle our schedules. Now we have to compete with Thanksgiving, Black Friday and weekend shopping, and huge rivalry games. I don't expect USA's or Georgia State's crowd to be great. But USA will bring some folks.

I tentatively plan on being there, but some unfortunate news I received yesterday might mean I will not be able to make it.

The more I think about this game the more I expect Gast to roll. I can't see any reason for them not to win big.

i haven't seen a team yet 'bring a crowd' into bowling green.

you hear all kinds of bird chest thumping during attendance threads but i know where the visitors sit at l.t. smith stadium and most teams are bringing family members and that's it.

so....add on the reasons you mentioned and i seriously doubt south is gonna 'bring a crowd'. lmao.

A few hundred from USA at most. Too many factors working against the fans to travel big to this one. I just hope Ga St can supply a few thousand so it doesn't sound like an after-hours museum in there.

I can. They have not won a game this season. No doubt they have improved drastically from the start but USA is a pretty good team at times. If the Panthers win it will be a close one. 04-rock

I would have agreed with you earlier this season but what i've seen from the Panthers taking the SunBelt's best teams to the wire, I can't see anyone stopping them this Saturday.
