General Justin Fuente is gonna be Big time here.....Plus he doesn't dance around the problems and explains them during every press conference so the fan base knows full well every step of the process being taken and worked on......He doesn't sell the rah rah they are a tough team and well coached crap, and tells it like it really is.....He demands his players do the jobs and hold them accountable, and more important he plays the Most talented players because thats how you win......Josh and staff shoul go out and beat NS by 35 but lets see how they responde from the Butt kicking we were handed.....One Dream, One Team, Memphis....All for one, One for all, All for Memphis....The World Is Ours Memphis....

Pretty good game. The boys put up a hell of a fight. Much better than 58-0 two or three years ago.

Great effort today. Competitive on the road at a highly ranked team, hostile environment. Kept their heads after a shaky start. Put themselves in a position to win.

While true, it does not obviate the need to wipe out game-losing penalties that plague us.

We win some games (or start playing like we did the last few weeks) we'll get better players.

While I am not big on moral victories playing this well against them is a big deal. We still make way too many stupid mental mistakes.

Agree.

Most encouraging is how the team didn't fold up like a tent after the adversity that was the first half.

A lesser coach would've seen the whole team give up.

There was a sarcastic comment in the thread that we were winning the penalty game and I thought, wow, we actually are for maybe the first time all year. Progress.

Most of the penalties can be contributed to us not having the depth to compete with these teams for four qtrs. When you play against talent better than you week in and week out penalties are hard not to commit. Fuente is THE BEST FOOTBALL COACH we have had at Memphis in many many years. Some folks here need to sit back and relax. It's easy to see he is good.

Best coach since Pancoast. Lock him up!
