There was a stretch when he scored 5 or 6 straight for us yesterday, that got us back in the game.

A step slow on defense, causing numerous fouls.

My guess is that the first few games, teams keyed on Rucker, opening the way for CJ. I think the last 2 teams have keyed on CJ, opening the way for Frazier/Rucker. Add in the foul trouble, and that explains CJs drop off

Yeah I think that is definitely one of the strengths of this team. If teams key on a person or two there are lots of others that can step up.

RE: question about cj washington
In basketball, like in football, quick footwork is not a "glamorous" trait, but it is essential to good play because when you are "foot slow" you must make up for it by grabbing with your hands when you get caught out of position. Your hands are more likely to get fouls called on you than your feet - they are much more clearly seen by the officials in both sports.

Foot speed can be compromised by poor conditioning or nagging painful injuries that are not bad enough to keep you off the field but can slow your reaction time so you have to grab rather than hit with the body.

Both teams game planned for CJ. Also, he guarded some great players in this tournament. He'll be fine. We are really blessed with a balanced team this year.
