EagleRockCafe's Consolidation Thread, Merged by GTS - 11/22
Republicans who sought a delay of Obamacare prior to October, who saw the attendant problems coming, were demonized and called every name in the book by the Obama administration and Democrats. One couldn’t delay or criticize “THE LAW”, or you were also a racist.

Now that that it serves his political purposes, guess the delay and the “terrorist” is on the other foot…

Texas Family With Two Kids Fighting Cancer Have Their Insurance Canceled Because of O
I can't even imagine what this family is going through. Obama is an evil, evil man. His lies to the country are hitting home for some families.

GAINESVILLE, TEXAS — A Gainesville family is fighting for their childrens’ lives.

Ronald and Krista Alford’s two children, Hunter and Mikayla, were born with extremely rare types of cancer.

Now, sven years into fighting that battle, they’ve been hit with a new one: their children’s insurance has been cancelled, affecting Hunter’s chemotherapy.

News 12′s Allison Harris brings us their story of struggle and strength.

Hunter Alford is due for his next round of chemo.

As of right now, his mom Krista says, he’s unlikely to get it.

“Since his insurance was dropped, we’re thinking about cancelling his chemotherapy,” Krista Alford said.

The 7-year-old, who loves playing games on his iPad, is reportedly the youngest person to have his type of cancer.

Hunter has Plexiform Hishocyne Neoplasm.

The Alford’s are in a battle with children’s medicaid — or CHIP — Hunter’s insurance.

Krista says, despite receiving a new, renewed insurance card, the agency told her they dropped his insurance.

“I called them and they said we were dropped October 31st,” Krista said.

Krista says an insurance agent told her that Hunter’s information got lost when they made changes under the new Affordable Care Act.

Now, Krista is on a mission to re-gain that insurance, but they’re running out of time before his next chemo treatment, and the agent says they can’t expedite.

WaPo: Tea Party Predecessors Killed JFK…
[Image: 2fro.jpg]

The Washington Post has sunk to a new low with this piece. How desperate are they right now?

The president is a socialist. He is neutering the United States on the world stage. He is spending us into bankruptcy. He is hellbent on expanding national health care, which will surely lead to government death panels.

He is advancing big-government agendas everywhere from Main Street to Wall Street. And do we really know the truth about his personal history and religion?

Perhaps the man in the Oval Office should be impeached — even tried for treason.

If today’s extremist rhetoric sounds familiar, that’s because it is eerily, poignantly similar to the vitriol aimed squarely at John F. Kennedy during his presidency.

And just like today, Texans were leading what some of them saw as a moral crusade.

To find the very roots of the tea party of 2013, just go back to downtown Dallas in 1963, back to the months and weeks leading to the Kennedy assassination. It was where and when a deeply angry political polarization, driven by a band of zealots, burst wide open in America.

It was fueled then, as now, by billionaires opposed to federal oversight, rabid media, Bible-thumping preachers and extremist lawmakers who had moved far from their political peers. In 1963, that strident minority hijacked the civic dialogue and brewed the boiling, toxic environment waiting for Kennedy the day he died.

As he planned his trip to Dallas in November 1963, President Kennedy knew that hundreds of thousands across Texas adored him — or at least, respected the office he held. But he also knew that there was an increasingly hysterical fringe.

Russell Simmons Says Only Fake Democrats Hate Obamacare

I’d just like to point out Russell Simmons is not really a celebrity. He’s just a talent-less spoiled loser who got famous off his brother.

I thought I knew where most Democrats stood. I thought they stood on the side of the poor, the elderly, the students, the young people, the disenfranchised, the women, the middle class, the working class and all of those struggling to stay afloat during some very difficult economic times.

But, then came a website. And the website had a lot of problems (that is probably an understatement). And some Democrats, 39 of them to be exact, couldn’t handle the hate, I mean heat, coming from the other side.

So, their knees wobbled. Their brows glistened with sweat. Their stomachs growled. Their fear of losing their job over a website took over their every move.

And please don’t tell me this about people whose healthcare was canceled…because that healthcare is predatory and it is unconscionable that we would allow anyone in this country to own such policies.

And the sad thing is that this view is not outside the democratic mainstream..

Barry Obama will be the first former POTUS to try and become a REAL world leader with REAL power. He will start with the UN and become secretary general. Then he will institute radical changes and accumulation of power over the weak, poor and most vulnerable. And he will do it in the name of feeding the hungry and giving Healthcare to the poor kids of the 3rd world.

Chicago politics meets UN politics.

The world should be very scared.

This is correct. While the pilgrims farmed and raised livestock as a community, there was no welfare for the lazy. If you didn't put in the work, you did not eat. Hunger is a great motivator.

I think we'd be amazed if we cut down the numbers on EBT and SSDI, how many people who claim that they just can't find the right job or that they are just too sick to work, would find work in order to eat. I bet they'd also be more frugal with their food dollars too i.e. learn to bake a homemade birthday cake rather than buying one from the bakery and maybe buy the store brand rather than the more expensive brands.

RE: The First Democrat In The New World....
Interesting side note. I remember the John Smith quote from something like 4th grade, but decided to look it up for verification:

Who said He who does not work neither shall he eat

Quote:John Smith - the founder of Jamestown when encouraging the settlers to farm and not eat their stocks of foodCaptain John Smith of Jamestown It originally comes from the Apostle Paul, in 2 Thessalonians 3: "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." Captain Miles Standish is remembered for saying it, although the same ultimatum has probably been uttered many times in the course of history. It is from the bible and the quote is "If a man does not work, let him also not eat". It is from 2 Thes 3:10 and was said by Paul. He was addressing the settlers in Jamestown, some of them who were "gentlemen" and felt themselves above the task of settling a new land. We find in Geneses that Man was told, "By the sweat of your brow shall you eat bread". In the new testament, the author (Probably the apostle Paul) says that "If a man will not work, he shall not eat". 2 Thessalonians 3:10

That cartoon would make sense if Democrats on average didn't earn more and had more degrees than Republicans. Additionally it would make more sense if Democrats were the majority of welfare recipients... but they are not.

smh.

I'm reminded of the young man I met while working along the MS River in NOLA shortly after graduating college.

He had a Masters in Journalism and was working on his doctorates, and was running our crew boats.

It pissed him off to no end that I, a simple redneck from Mississippi, only had a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, was making more money than he was in his current job and would be after he got his PhD., and he worked for me.

He asked in what world was this fair?

I said: Difference is I work in a field where we provide a service to everyone. You're majoring in a field where all you want to do is write stories in papers either telling your point of view or hoping for a teaching job. In essence unless you're reporting actual facts on the news or the weather, you kinda useless to the rest of us.

Little did I know, he wanted to be an Op/Ed journalist and tell the world how unfair it is for a young white male born into a rich family has a hard struggle with the world.

I told him when he had to eat rice and/or beans at every meal, use water in the ketchup or milk to make it last longer, or hoped to kill enough squirrel, deer, or catch enough fish to have meat through the winter, to let me know.
