RE: UAB vs New Mexico radio feed
Man what a comeback... Rucker and Frazier beasted out there. Especially impressed by Frazier after his terrible first half. I do believe we LOST this game, rather than UNM playing well and taking it from us. horrible And-1s given up late in the game on multiple occasions are something you simply CANNOT do in a close game. Not fouling was a bad mistake, but the radio announcers stated Haase called for a foul, the uab player did foul, however the refs did not call it. This was at the end of regulation. I'm not sure what happened at the end of OT.
I agree with all the NCAA-ramification prognosticators - this one will likely sting at the end of the year. We don't have many chances for wins like this. It's imperative we win these next two and salvage a good showing in charleston.

And even though we gave the game away, this didnt seem like a Mike Davis type of giveaway game, of which there were many.
This team fought and clawed its way back and didnt give up.
We have a bright future THIS season. I just hope it's good enough to get us in the tourney.

We were actually in a tournament game, not at home, and had a chance to win. That's progress.

After watching that game I like our chances at home against UNC. Is there any word on when Hairston and Macdonald may return?

I think we have a tournament caliber team, and this game proved that IMO..
We are a top notch rebounding team, and we have size, depth, versatility, toughness, and shoot well from the ft line (80.5% tonight)

At the end of the first OT, 2 men were drawn to the lane and left a 3 pointer wide open

RE: UAB vs New Mexico radio feed
My biggest concern is that our guys will be physically drained and emotionally down after losing a game like this that they had all but won.
Losing to New Mexico is not bad, but if it puts the team into a funk and we lose a game or two more in Charleston, then it becomes a problem.
Let's take care of business tomorrow, Blazers. Put them away.

But that might involved not blaming a coach.
Lots of things cost us this game. We were great on the boards but we allowed them 3 offensive rebounds on their possession inside 30 seconds of regulation. We secure a rebound there and we have a 5 pt lead and the ball. Instead they convert on a 3pt play. Also our 3 bigs were 9-40 from the field. We missed a lot of close shots and had too many unforced turnovers. Yes losing one like this hurts but all in all I like what I saw today. I said last week lets wait until 10 games before we get too excited or dejected. Don't think we will see Rucker shoot that poorly again and I think Washington was a little lost today offensively. Its one freakin game against a pretty good opponent. Blazer fans relax. Thought Mr. Williams had a strong game. I also like Mehinti's athleticism. Had we played as well as we could and lost I would be feeling much worse. Aside from the rebounding I think we played a fairly sloppy game and still gave a top 20 team all it wanted.
We will be ok.

UAB vs New Mexico radio feed
We play this way throughout the season and we will win tons of games. Seriously how many teams do we play that on paper are better than New Mexico? Not many.

Because you watch the games that they play. They played two games before UAB and I had never heard of them before today. They are #19 for a reason and KenPom has them at #20. That was a hell of a team UAB played today and although you're probably as mad as I am, your negative comments won't help.

They have two players from a non BCS school nominated for the college player of the year award. Only 50 are considered from all d1 teams. I'd say they are pretty good. I think that defense that some say is so bad held our two of our bigs to 6 of 33 shooting. Sounds like they defended very well.

Charleston Southern. Had never heard of them. And I've heard of A&M, but they held them to 52 points so MB's point means absolutely nothing. I'm not going to stop talking. I'm telling it like it is. There's no point to be so negative when you lose in double OT to a team that is the #19 team in the nation.
Telling me to not comment furthur, ridiculous. This is a forum not a business meeting.

One of them is Alabama A&M which is in his home state and on our schedule.
You know what I meant. Arguing about whether I knew the teams is 1000% beside the point. UAB played a hell of a game today. New Mexico didn't play its best, but they have the pieces to make a run.
It amazes me how much you guys on this forum care so much about the dumbest things. Focus on what happened, what might happen, and facts. Not about the defense of a team. No one knows if their defense is bad. They gave up like 75 points before the OT's. That's not a lot at all in college basketball these days.

So I guess after Nebraska we will either play UGA or Temple. A little disappointed we dont get a shot at Clemson.

What MB said about NM is true and even Lobo fans have acknowledge this fact. New Mexico has giving up a ton of points this season and they don't play good defense. Not understanding what he said negative about this fact.
