Can we build off the momentum from College Station?

FYI ... live video is available from A&M-CC website for $7.99.

As poorly as we played I'll take the tie at halftime.

Is there a gametracker that is working? I'm curious if Keith Washington is playing tonight.

Up by 5 at the first media break. No bench points for us tonight (and no Keith Washington sighting yet).

9 point lead now. We're shooting much better in the 2nd half.

Obi with his first of what I predict to be many double-doubles.

Owls ahead 59-54 with 90 seconds to go.

Obi's offensive game has surprised me. He came billed as mainly a rebounder but his offensive skills are much more developed than expected.

I can't offer much because my radio stream was out more than in, but we pulled out the tense win after two straight to-the-wire heartbreakers. That's a good experience to have, no matter who it comes against.

Let's come home on Saturday and kick some tiger tail!

Same here. He's a keeper.

Our starting 5 is not bad! Everyone brings something to the table. Gearhart is nothing special but he's long and can shoot a little, and has experience. Ramljak is one of the better 3-point shooters I've seen at Rice. Guercy is one of the best ball-handlers I've seen at Rice, all-conference honors in his future. Jackson is still getting comfortable, but has flashed star qualities already. Obi will become one of Braun's best recruits for Rice, if not the best. Then there's Drone, who could develop into a force over time, but for now is still a factor around the basket with his size and effort. Bender is one player that should get more minutes. Plus guys that are serviceable like Wilson, Washington, etc. Not a bad re-building start for Braun. Can he keep and develop these players is the question.

In exchanging tweets with Saltzman about Guercy vs Ennis he pointed out that while Ennis was more skilled he thought Guercy was the better PG because Ennis was more interested in scoring than running the offense.

I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I haven't followed our MBB team at all this year. Can someone give me a quick summary of how we are doing? W-L record, how have we looked against the early competition? What's our talent level, can we even field a full team?
