If they lose both games, I agree that they will really have no choice but to let him go.

The real fans, the ones in the stands who suffered through close to thirty years of terrible football, aren't the ones running around message boards claiming RU to be the next USC (RutgersAl). We got pretty hot for a few years and a cart load of bandwagon fans showed up. Many of these guys don't go to game, never went to Rutgers and were probably routing for daU back in the 90's. Surely none of us came on here claiming that RU was going to dominate the B10. The actual fans thought that we would be competitive. We can still be, it not with this coaching staff or athletic administration running things.

My all-time favorite RutgersAl moment. 04-cheers

But what about all of their national championships????? 03-lmfao

Laugh all you want. At the end of the school year we go to the BIG and you get to stay here with a whole bunch of schools who's fans openly question what value you bring to the table and wonder why Temple should be kept in a now southern dominated
conference. Oh, and regardless of what happens on or off the field, you will still be only the third most popular college football program in your own home city.
BTW, it was Rutgers who lead the charge to vote down the Villanova plan in the still then Big East. WV was the second no vote. Both Pitt and Ville fans claim their school was the third. That means the three BE holdover schools all voted to include a move up Nova over inviting Temple. Come June the last of your supporters in this conf will be gone and you get to buddy up with three schools who voted to keep you out the first time around. Feel like a warm and cozy home to you now?

I'm not really sure anyone wants Flood back at this point. RU is not just losing, they are losing badly and have demonstrated an obvious regression as the year has gone on.

On the other hand, I'm not sure RU is willing to buy him out and invest in another coach. I was hoping Rutgers would upgrade their coordinators since they got Flood cheap, but Cohen is obviously not an upgrade at DC.

It probably would be cheaper by hiring new coordinators, but with the new revenue UR should be getting, unless they are happy with his coaching, why not start anew with someone else. That is predicated that there is a coach that is worth paying for at the end of the year.

The problem is Flood seems to be loyal to a fault. He has stuck with Nova at qb, even though the kid has regressed back to the fetal position. The DC, Cohen is an old friend. At any other school both would have lost their jobs by now. My guess is that Flood will try to stick by both even after the season is over.

I think that about Sarah Cuse. With State Penn second. USC fans say the same about the UCLA board. Temple doesn't factor, but you have to have traffic on a message board to be considered.

JHG...Rutgers does have some of the worst Internet fans out there. Their boards are overrun by about 15 D-bags who scream down any differing opinions. Just about every Cuse fan has been banned...some deserved it but most got banned without cause.

Rutgirls in the B1G: Just like Indiana but without the basketball.

Maybe Rutgers could work some sort of trade with Florida for Head Coaches...

If that is true, I have to respect that loyalty from Flood. But how loyal will the AD be if this happens.
