OT: Hope Everyone is Safe from the Storm
Been hearing reports of a possible tornado in Maumee and major damage in Perrysburg. Hope everyone is safe.

Where I am near Cleveland, had some heavy wind, but overall didn't seem too bad.

Didn't think I would spend part of a November day down in the basement due to a tornado warning but sure enough we did. Strange weather.

RE: OT: Hope Everyone is Safe from the Storm
I mentioned this morning that this felt more like spring weather than fall weather with the warm temperatures following a cool spell along with the accompanying winds and rain that commonly mark spring time frontal passages. The tornado warnings this evening merely sealed the deal. Now if is winter REALLY is over......04-cheers

Staying in Perrysburg overnight at Comfort Suites since I'm going to men's game tomorrow night. No power since 5:30pm. Really bummed. I was looking forward to my in-room jacuzzi bath.

I live in Perrysburg(near Fort Meigs). Our power came back on around 8 pm. Thought the grill was going to blow of the deck and end up in our pool.

RE: OT: Hope Everyone is Safe from the Storm
We were having our annual Thanksgiving dinner at our church. The basement is a designated emergency shelter so when the sirens went off a cop came to unlock the door. He was impressed with our preparedness- fifty people already there and a huge dinner on the table. Hated to tell him it was already in the works before the weather came. Some large limbs down around us and when I walked the dog he was just blowing around at the end of the leash.

No tornado in Maumee that I am aware of. We heard a few branches hit the roof, but nothing significant. Had some strong gusts, but that's all. It's been worse. On the How-Badly-My-Wife-Was-Freaking-Out Scale, I'd call it a Category 1 storm.

Surprised to hear Pburg hit like that. They said on TV a bit ago that the canopy at the Circle-K blew down, but the building wasn't damaged. You never know--that could be a construction issue. But, like the talking heads were saying, "We'll know more in the daylight."

Didn't realize that was a commonly used scale. Thought I invented it! 04-cheers
