you're not very good at smack talk.

You are right.

For all of the posts we (and the rest of the MAC) have had to endure about the GREAT Frank Solich, the GREAT Tyler Tendleton ( probably spelled his name wrong, but make a difference and I'll know your name), the GREAT Beau Blankenship and, of course, the every home game sell out crowds - Ohio fans are getting off easy.

Your reality hurts worse than any smack. We know bad football teams when we see them, and OU has a real stinker. We know disengaged coaches when we see them, and yours looked like he's thinking about shuffleboard last night. We know Jimmy Christian, and none of us want to be in the room when someone tells him that OU will have to invest a little more in FOOTBALL to raise the sinking flagship.

Trust me. Our smack is the least of your problems.

see, that's more like it. Dannyb, take notes.

I'm sorry, but are we doing this thing again where we're conflating the two or three trolls with all Ohio fans? Should I take the one or two Kent posters I don't like and act like all of you are like that?

Except for Frank the Tank who was crying to the refs about the final TR and celebration to the refs and then Coach Haynes when they shook hands. Really coach? You just got smoked in your house by a 3-8 team on national tv.

I noticed that too, and the first thing I thought was "Ohio players talked, jabbered, committed PF's, helmet to chinned Reardon after a play, and Solich is going to ***** to Coach haynes about the celebration?"

Athens really is a bubble......

You mistake me citing facts for talking smack? I thought OU was supposed to provide a quality education. Guess not.

Reardon made several under throws and I don't think he makes good decisions. I hope there is another QB coming. Not seen anything on Stock to give an opinion. We have a D1 All State QB on the team that could have done better. Not saying he is a D1 college QB I am just saying I think he would have done a better job. When Wollet is the leading tackler on the team that is NOT good! That means we need some Linebackers. Putting Nate Holley at Free Safety sure helped a very weak secondary. The running back Calhoun in my opinion is the best running back we have. He has showed some great promise. Dri is fast but sure doesn't take much to bring him down. The freshman DE looked good also. We have some good players heading into next year! I just think we need a QB and some Corners. I wonder if they ever thought about moving to a spread offense.

I'm a little late to the party here, but any one of your criticisms in and of themselves alone are peculiar, but all together really make you seem out of touch. Reardon? The kid had a great game, Freshman or no freshman, and his numbers would've been much better if not for a handful of dropped passes. Wollett? Really? This kid has been solid for us. Calhoun is our best and you bang on Dri? Calhoun is in way over his head, and makes me nervous every time I see him toting the ball. After him weve got Durham, then we have Meray that is steady and tries hard, Clay and Durden before you get down enough to consider Calhoun. I'm not even sure he's a RB as much as split out and given reverses as they saw him as a poor mans Archer.

Other than you and one other fan, JSF, most other Ohio fans are silent on the trolls. I take that to mean they must agree.

If Solich doesn't like seeing opponents celebrating in the end zone, he can always work on his defense.

This was a very disappointing season. I knew we were not going win as much as last year and the injuries and schedule did not help, but four wins is terrible. We lost some good players last year, but with stars like Dri, Rosie and Durham back I thought it would be better. Next year's schedule with two BCS opponents is not kind. I want to see Coach Haynes succeed. Colin looks like he could be a star.

I like our schedule for 2014. Sounds like we will have an even six at home and six on the road, will finally get to play UMass and open on a Thursday night - possibly against a MAC team.

My question would be, since we will only see two MAC West teams, who will the other one be besides NIU who we can't seem to avoid?

Congrats Flashes. You played a much better game. Too bad you didn't have that Dri the whole season.

Maybe Toledo? We have not played them since 2010 I believe

I would just like to say thank you to Nix, Archer, Goode, Wollett, Huff, McShane, Fackler, Christopher, Gress, Pratt, Polk, Plunkett, Fisher, Erjavec, Levandowski, & Hitchens for all of their hard work in practice/results on the field @ KSU. Eventhough this year's season didn't go as planned, this senior class will graduate with a 4yr win total of 21 in a KSU uniform (records the last 4 yrs: 5-7, 5-7, 11-3, & 4-8). Last year's senior class graduated with a win total of 26 in 4 yrs @ KSU.

It always feels good to go to Athens OH, on national TV, & get a blowout win that most definitely knocked the Bobcats out of bowl contention!

Really looking forward to the development from now til the 1st game next year of Wayne Scott, Terrence Waugh, Darius Redmond, Elcee Refuge, & Nate Holley, as they are all true freshmen who got significant playing time this season on special teams and/or offense & defense. Also, looking for a big jump from Reardon next year. Add to all of that Najee Murray (CB) & Nick Cuthbert (S), both become eligible next season.

At the final home game vs Miami of OH, Linder said 16 seniors @ their last home game in Kent OH (I don't know this for a fact, but that would signal the return of Malcolm Pannel & Richard Gray for a 5th yr next year).

Final season statistics: http://www.kentstatesports.com/cumestats...&year=2013

Final national season rankings for KSU in the main 4 categories:
Passing Yards/game: 186.5 yds which ranks 99th
Rushing Yards/game: 182.4 yds which ranks 56th
Points for/game: 20.8 pts which ranks 107th
Points against/game: 26.9 pts which ranks 69th

When you take this class and add the seniors from last year, it is easy to see how we were so competitive. That was a good team and fairly deep. We need to keep the recruiting standard just as high if not higher because some other teams in the conference are at a high level. I too, thank this year's class and thank you again for this beat down of the bobcats.
