We had no idea about Lee. We get the news about him on Tuesday PM and barely had time to celebrate before moving on to Haas.
The nice thing about Haas is it is like playing with house money, since we had already given up on him. If he doesn't sign, we have a fantastic class
Us fans may have given up on him, but I don't think that's true for our recruits and coaches. Also when he says this makes four sleepless nights. Sounds like a late push by UAB rather than him rethinking his commitment before yesterday.

And a few months ago we thought that Sullivan & Calhoun were about all we were going to get out of the top players in the state.
It looked like another school was going to swipe all of the other players from us.

Less than 72 hours ago, we were losing to Rutgers by 9 points in the second half. All things UAB basketball have been on the upswing since then. Need to take care of business tonight.
Go Blazers!

I bet that Haas was really hopeful of a Fab 5, but when he saw Coleman and Norris decide to go with UAT and Lee still uncertain his hope of a Fab 5 all but disappeared.
Now that Lee has signed with UAB, Haas may well now see that there is again tremendous potential for a huge class at UAB in spite of Coleman and Norris going elsewhere. Again, if UAB is good enough for a guy like Lee who he knows and who is rated higher than him, that will also make you think twice.
Haas was high on UAB from the beginning, but I think he got discouraged with what was going on with the other Alabama guys choosing other places. Now that things are about to get more real (ie, signing instead of just a verbal), he is questioning it all and how much he cares about going to a big-time conference or if he wants to help Lee to revive UAB and return us to national prominence.

7 Hours from now... I hope we can only see our players knees, because they have put their feet so far into Troy's butt... I want revenge from football and I want it tonight. No lead is big enough tonight.

You can also say the board has been peaceful since Lee announced his intentions. We are such a loving bunch when things are going our way. Very few mentions of the f word also. Happy days are here again!!!

I hope our guys beat Troy so bad that every other team on our schedule gets a cold shiver at the mention of "Blazers". I hope the Troy players refuse to leave the lock room at halftime. I hope the Troy trainers start the "Warm Up the Bus" chant with 16 minutes to go.

Um, Phil, the correct verbiage for our Pike County friends is "Fire up the tractors!"

I have fond memories of UAB fans taking over the Troy gym a few years ago.

Wait until we let Troy get ahead of us tonight late in the second half. We will be back to pitchforks and cat's claws for everyone.

We beat them by like ten in our worst year. I don't think we have a lot to worry about this go-around.
