But the experts say we have no shot so I'll take 1,3 and 4 and be ecstatic.
Tarik showed last night that maybe some of these guys we thought were top notch just aren't
Last night?
True, he has shown in the past he is not elite but Self couldn't keep him in at all in a high level game last night. All of us want to get back to that top level but it showed me that we have to keep working the recruiting trail, we simply have not had the players yet.
My opinion for the last 3 seasons, was that the players didn't work hard enough. If you watched other top 15 teams play, the effort level and hustle level of the players just looked so much different than our games.
In my opinion, the only times in the last 3 years that our team looked like it was really "bringing it" at a high level, were the last 10 minutes of UTEP; the Arizona game, the 2012 home game against UT, and last year's home game against Louisville. The team improved a lot last year, but I still don't think that we were quite there.
I don't think that Adonis, Black, Crawford and Simpson ever really got it. Joe Jackson eventually did, and DJ, Geron and Wilson did. Shaq worked his butt off early in the season but tapered off.
A good big man is rare these days.
There's a joke here.

Rumor has it that TB was in Shaq's ear last half of the season, telling him he should transfer. Again it is a rumor.
Thank you for spreading rumors. Everyone appreciates it
You're welcome... In case you haven't noticed , 90% of what is said here is "rumor", at least I acknowledged it as such.
But from someone connected to the program it has some validity.
