RE: Where Do We Go Now? Basketball Recruiting Edition
No he hasn't been overlooked. Believe me.
He will end up probably being the most versatile out of the signees.
We should have gone after his brother, or his brother should have gone after us, whichever was the case.

Man. I can't remember the last time I worried about a great recruit being over looked by the other great recruits we signed.

RE: Where Do We Go Now? Basketball Recruiting Edition
Haas would be a big pick up. Every recruiting service is different, but Rivals has Haas as a 4-star and the best player in the state (#64 nationally). Compare that to William Lee who they only have as a 3-star recruit and #139 nationally. Seems clear that getting Haas would be a boost both in real and perceived talent for the 2014 class.
An incoming class of Haas, Lee, Sullivan, Calhoun, and Cokely would be a tremendous influx of talent. IMO, that would already be the best recruiting class (overall) in UAB history. I have faith in Haase though, and believe that whoever our final 2 signees are will be big talents.

I have not found verification of this yet on twitter, but I'll continue to look.

RE: Where Do We Go Now? Basketball Recruiting Edition
Are there any other guys that may sign with us in the early period? I'm still wondering if Lee was talking about Haas, or somebody else when he made his comments. I'm not terribly worried if we don't sign two more guys now, because some JUCO players to balance the classes out might be our best bet.(currently Brown is the only guy in his class, right?)

Yes. I would wish to go after Gueye personally, but if we wait until the late signing period & go for 2 jucos we will still be fine.
Anything now would be icing on the cake.

I agree. I've been hoping for Gueye for a while now.

Where Do We Go Now? Basketball Recruiting Edition
Drew Champlin felt Haas was who Lee was referring to. Now that Haas picked Purdue, maybe someone will ask Lee if that's who he was thinking it would be. Or maybe there's a sleeper out there that we weren't aware we were really recruiting.

I think Gueye played on some of their AAU teams. Not sure with which players though.
