We shot well from the field, the line and the three point range. We won. Sounds like a great game to watch. I enjoyed listening to it.

It wasn't.

I went last night. We did shoot and rebound well. I'm sure someone has already mentioned this but it was the turnovers that were so frustrating. Mostly on lazy/ill-advised entry passes to the post.

We were beaten back a couple of times on defense which ended in layups for Troy. I wonder if that is a by-product of our commitment to crashing the boards.

One more thing, Rob Williams is a rebounding, hustling, three-point shooting animal. It is nice to see him going to the hoop and finishing.

Didn't Haase say he would release a statement today regarding the early signing period? I believe this is what he said, but I think that was before the Haas visit this weekend was known.

The 20th is the last day to sign. Might not hear from Haase til next Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Could be longer because of the tournament late next week.

I don't worry too much about recruiting until they commit to us. But I've been paying enough attention to this one to know this: If Haas commits to UAB, somebody's going to have to change their damn name in the deal. Four years of Haas/Haase and my brain will melt. Because just these two references in your post made it throb a little.

If I remember correctly he said he would release statements once everyone has signed, which makes it seen like we have more to sign during the early period.

Makes you think that we will sign 2 more before all is done for the early period.

Sorry that winning has become so boring to you. In 35 years of watching UAB basketball, I have never not enjoyed watching them win. Even when it is a sloppy game, a win makes up for it.

Wait until all the commentators get a hold of it. Pete Gillen will be so confused.

You don't have to apologize to me.

I never said that I didn't enjoy watching them win. I said that the game was fairly boring (and it was...every time UAB had momentum, Troy took it away) and that it wasn't a great game. It wasn't a great game.

Do you ever NOT blow everything out of proportion?

If UAB football has taught me nothing else, it's that there's no such thing as an ugly win.
