I think Jason Smith talked about this on the radio a while back. But what do you think Joe's response would be if Micheal Dixon starts to take over making game winning shots and having great games. I'll throw in Chris as well, but do you think they are mature enough to handle it. I guess I mean if a one year player is having a better senior year than you are having when you have been running the show for 4 years and are now a senior.
IMHO, I think that could be crucial to a great season and a great NCAA tournament run, this was just something i was thinking about. Chime in if you think otherwise.

That's what I'm thinking, but I'm sure Pastner will be able to handle it. Also now that i think about it, you must be pretty mature to buy into meditating and actually use it as Joe has been doing, just a thought.

I will say this. If he out plays all of the guards by letting the game come to him, or more simply taking open shots instead of forced shots or hogging the ball...then more power to him and joe and the other guards will have to be team first guys. That being said if dude starts hogging it being a first yr player, I would think several players on the team will have have issues with that. And so would I. When Moses Malone came to Philly he had enough since to say this is Dr. J's team not mine...Dixon needs to do this just like Moses did. Now he doesn't have to do that publicly but he should do it.

I just looked at the stat sheet Dixon and Iverson took the most shots at 10. Dixon made 7-10 shooting, but I'm pretty sure i saw on Twitter that he was just taking open looks and not forcing situations, so i think we should be good.

I think it would be a good guess to think we will have a different leading scorer each night because of the talent we have

The answer to this question is 'look at the last 3 years'.

Joe's set for an All-American season, and it's his last chance to try to make an NBA run (Read: I'm not saying he will get drafted or even has a high probability to. Please relax). I doubt he's going to risk losing minutes by pouting. This is an important year for him, and the Tigers. He's the best player on the team.

I would hope they play as a team and instinctively the ball goes to the open man.

RE: The Guards
If the team presses, runs, and plays aggressive defense as planned all of the guards should see ample playing time. You may even see some raised hands at times asking for a breather.
As for Joe starting he’s been running the team for 3 seasons and knows Josh’s system well. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Dixon at the point with Joe playing off guard at times. We now have more backcourt options than ever.
What a great problem to have.

I really like this reply....Josh now has the combinations available to make sure that there is only maximum effort on the floor @ ALL times...
With this being JJ' s last year, he doesn't have room to pout.....The most important aspect for JJ is that he needs to push the ball up the floor for easy baskets and shoot a minimum of 78-82% from the foul line...
Also limit his turnover ratio.....WE had a guy with out of this world leaping ability last year and the majority of the alley oop passes were thrown to him by CC & Geron....
This is also a VERY important year for Josh...He knows this so he purchased an Insurance Plan.... MDLM

Honestly I am hoping a couple of the new guys are better than JJ...That only makes us stronger.
