ND wins its fifth straight Big East Tournament championship.

Wade Korpi pitched five shutout innings to get the victory in his first outing all year on only three days rest.


ND had 12 hits. Louisville had five.

Looks like the Cards used up all their offense in the previous games. Notre Dame certainly has had our number this year in the Olympic sports for the conference tourneys (volleyball, softball, golf, track and field, baseball......).

But remember UofL has been building its programs for the last 8 years without any BCS money and no help from the state.

Yeah, I was saying that in another thread. Notre Shame seems to have our number in the Championship games.

Congrats to Notre Dame. They were more consistent all season long and the best team in the league.
