Syracuse Poster Archbold Zak got it right on TV Contract
Sometimes even the most idiotic posters get it right once and a while. This guy is notorious for bashing the Big East and it new members but on this new TV deal and what it means to the Football schools he has it dead on.

is for a split and the football schools to add a ninth. It will never appeal to me, but at least it solves the scheduling problem and with a home and home round robin hoops schedule it's fair and you might build rivalries over time.

Keeping this thing together at SU's disadvantage so Seton Hall, DePaul, PC and SJU can cash TV checks that SU, UCONN and UL generate is stupid.

Mikey T may be right that this mess can generate a bigger TV deal than football schools would splitting. But, you don't need as much revenue for 9 teams as you for 16, most not contributing anything.

Although personally I'd just like to see SU get out of it even if it means closing football down.

The new streak has begun! All is right with the world.
