No word on TV, if any. ESPN3 and the worst.

Will Louisville be the first ranked team we've played since 2009?

I don't know if this counts but isn't UCF ranked in the high teens and low 20's now but they weren't when we played them.
They wouldn't be ranked if we had beat them on the score board though cause we sure beat them on the field except for a mistake or 2............

RE: Louisville game on at noon EST
I notice two basic scenarios that are employed when the TIGERS play ranked teams.

1) If team is ranked when MEMPHIS plays them, it is begrudgingly noted but should that team fall out of the rankings, the TAMMS are very quick to point that out. The FB win at USC in 1991 comes to mind; the Trojans were # 13 or so but dropped out of the rankings. Last year's NCAA win over St. Mary's is probably the best example of this. "See, they're not as good as we thought!!"
2) If team is unranked when MEMPHIS plays them, but is ranked later, the TAMMS point out the fact the team was in fact NOT ranked when the TIGERS played them. Thus, any win (Xavier BB a few years ago) or hard loss (UCF FB this season) is watered down.

The basic rule of thumb is to use the most negative approach when MEMPHIS plays a ranked team in either of the primary revenue sports.

Speaking of 1991, what a fantastic schedule:

Date Opponent Result
Sep 2, 1991 at USC W 24 - 10
Sep 7, 1991 vs Mississippi L 0 - 10
Sep 14, 1991 at East Carolina L 13 - 20
Sep 21, 1991 vs Arkansas State W 31 - 21
Oct 5, 1991 at Missouri L 21 - 31
Oct 12, 1991 vs Southern Mississippi W 17 - 12
Oct 19, 1991 at Mississippi State W 28 - 23
Oct 26, 1991 vs Tulsa L 28 - 33
Nov 2, 1991 at Tennessee L 24 - 52
Nov 9, 1991 vs Louisville W 35 - 7
Nov 16, 1991 vs Alabama L 7 - 10

In fact, I think it would be hard to dream up a better schedule than this. Oh well, gone are the days of the independent.

No doubt. And a nice, decisive win over a Louisville team that had won the Fiesta Bowl the year before.

That Mississippi State team was really good that year, too. That was a big win in Starkville.

Was Browning Nagle on that Louisville team?

I think he was the QB when they won the Fiesta Bowl, and then went pro.
