This is actually disappointing. When a football team has sucked as long as this one has, this is one area that is actually in their control, and you'd think they'd get it under control in order to keep themselves more competitive. We all know that with a few different calls this season we'd have 2 maybe even 3 more wins.

Objectively, for all the progress that we're making; there is a higher level of discipline that's missing from this group for some reason.

It's the referees' fault.

I have to say that some of it is the ref's fault, or better put, our fault for provoking the officials. I wonder what we do on the field to warrant the number of poor calls in our opponent's favor consistently through every game this season. There have been way too many questionable calls go against us. Our players or coaches must be doing something.

Well of course it's the ref's fault. Those flags don't throw themselves.

It's not the referee's fault, it's ours. What normal person would think the world is out to get just our team. Yes they have made aces bad calls but they have had a lot of no calls. The number of personal fouls on us are pathetic

Fumbles have been an issue as well. If they could just fix one of the two we will be on our way. Part of the problem in my opinion is the youth. That doesn't mean it's acceptable and needs to be fixed asap

Pretty devastating when you combine the actual penalties with the bad calls against us. One obvious example out of 100 was the non call on the targeting against UCF.

I don't know what to make of the fact that a single crew has had a huge impact on that in two games, but it is odd.

But the lack of discipline and penalties were all Porter's fault, right? Right...............?

I just remember two straight illegal formation penalties to start Porter's career.

Lack of discipline is not unusual for a team with only 1 win and not playing well during a game they should win. Frustration is normal. Late hits come and go. We have had as many called against us as have been ignored when we had the ball. Hayes should have been the beneficiary of a helmet to helmet hit on one of his runs down the sideline, but they got us a for a shaky block in the back, the most vague rule in football.

Porter's teams were not competitive. We have been in every game this year.

Actually, they are all Lynch's fault. If Karam was playing we wouldn't have all these penalties.

You can say that again in several instances. Missed balls that bounced off the ground and called as complete. and so on and so on . We're just a step away from greatness.

Just my VHO, of course. 07-coffee3

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. 05-nono
