The league will still get its auto-bid. Just changes which team gets beat 56-0 in the first round.
Yep - although I don't think it will be a 56-0 game. It will be a first round game with an At-Large team - more likely to be 24-13. (There is a sizable difference between a "good" Pioneer team versus a bad one.)
And the article should not have listed Mercer as a possible title winner - they can't win since they are moving to the SoCon (like ODU was last year).

FWIW, CAA last 5 yrs in playoffs:
2007: 16 team playoff, 4 CAA teams in (last CAA team in 7-4 UNH).
2008: 16 team playoff, 5 CAA teams in (last CAA team in 8-4 Maine).
2009: 16 team playoff, 4 CAA teams in
2010: 20 team playoff, 4 CAA teams in (last CAA teams in 7-4 VU and 7-4 UNH).
2011: 20 team playoff, 5 CAA teams in (last CAA team in 7-4 JMU).
2012: 20 team playoff, 3 CAA teams in (*if had been 24 team playoff likely would have had 5 teams in, 8-3 UR and 7-4 TU)
2013: 24 team playoff, ?? CAA teams in…
