I'd prefer we'd play Louisiana Tech next season over Southern Miss. This is nothing against USM, but LT is such a cool program, I've got lots of respect for it. If we had to have permanent partners in the west, I'd hope for Louisiana Tech and UTSA, that could be a lot of fun.

vs. Hampton
@ NC State
vs. Eastern Michigan
- Marshall
- Western Kentucky
- Middle Tennessee
- FAU
- FIU
- Cusa West
- Cusa West
- Cusa West
@ Vanderbilt

Looking at that schedule I say we get to 6-6 or even 7-5, realistically.

I think we'll likely have UAB in the East next year, so we'll only have 2 games against CUSA West teams. Judging by UAB's record this season, we should have another beatable team on our schedule next year. Also, I'm thinking we'll ask CUSA & MT to have that game at home next year. We're traveling to Vandy next year so it would make sense try and avoid making 2 seperate trips to Nashville in the same season. If that's the case, we could have home-field advantage over a tough MT team next year.

- Cusa West ...... UAB will be East next year
- Cusa West ...... I think the powers to be will have the Old Dog (@ Southern Miss) and the new Dog (ODU) play in our first year in CUSA. CUSA will try to prop up a win for S. Miss (no wins in 2 years) It may back fire on them.
- Cusa West ...... One of the Texas Schools
@ Vanderbilt

My 2 cent on the matter.

Aim High Monarchs 03-old

I still hate that we have those 2 FL schools. One would have been fine, but not both.

I love the fact that except for Hampton, we have an all FBS schedule!

I like it from a recruiting standpoint; it allows recruits from down there to play an in-state game each season in front of friends/family. Knowing that we'll have a guaranteed game in FL each season can only help with our FL recruiting.

Florida recruiting will be a factor for ODU in the future.
