Poll Watch Week 12
#10 Oklahoma _L
#11 Miami _L
#13 LSU _L
#23 Notre Dame _L
#25 Texas Tech _L

Iowa Wins and Minnesota wins. Good for Jerry. I'm proud.
Fresno wins and probably moves up a couple spots. They might be out of reach gentleman and ladies. Our huskies were isle so probably drop with a Wisconsin win Arizona state win ucf, UCLA, and Louisville victories. I know people will be mad when polls come out but this week hurts us. Let's enjoy what we have and beat ball state.

Funny how every other idle team will move up, and Louisville will too after beating a UConn team that is no better than UMass.

RE: Poll Watch Week 12
While I'm afraid you may be right, it's my hope that there are now fewer and fewer teams that a voter can legitimately rank in their top 25. Thus, the idiots, sorry, I meant voters, who have failed to rank NIU will find it in the hearts (brains?) to finally put the Huskies on their ballots and we move up a couple of spots!

This is the politics of college football. I'm going to say it bit there is no reason why the fighting Irish should have been #23 last week. I'm so happy the loss.

I'm waiting to see what happens after Ball State. With a win, it would be the Huskies second win over a FBS team with a winning record and make them the first team to 10-0. No reason to give up yet, who would have guessed NIU would play in the Orange Bowl last year?

Our Colley score will go up 1-2 spots.
Sagarin is already out but its still the highest one so it doesn't count.
The Massey, Wolfe and Billingsley are important.

The Iowa and Minnesota wins will help us with the computers to maybe make up some of last weeks drop.

True. I was looking at some projected polls and some had niu as high as 16 and as low as,22. Some poll had Fresno at 13. 03-hissyfit

I also agree the real test for how we will end up is after ball state and Toledo.

Why does Minnie help us? Because Iowa beat them?

Our huskies were isle so probably drop with a Wisconsin win Arizona state win ucf, UCLA, and Louisville victories. I know people will be mad when polls come out but this week hurts us. Let's enjoy what we have and beat ball state.

#19 UCLA defeated now 6-3 Arizona
#20 Louisville defeated now 0-8 Uconn
#21 UCF defeated now 7-2 Houston

Arizona State won ugly over Utah, and Wisconsin is pretty far back. I don't think they'll get us this week.

I'm not sure how much room Louisville can move up - they are about as high as they can go in the polls and don't have any votes in the computers ... beating 0-8 UConn isn't going to get them much.

My guess is we're going to hold at #18 or possible slip to #19 depending on where LSU/OK/Miami and UCLA/Louisville/UCF end up.

Next week I think we are going to see Michigan State and UCLA no longer in the middle of NIU and Fresno.

Next week, if UCLA beats 6-3 Washington at home, they probably jump Fresno, allowing us to close the gap with a good win against Ball State while Fresno is idle.

Same for Michigan State. They're going to beat 7-2 Nebraska next week and jump Fresno, or lose and fall behind us.

And if UCF does jump us this week, we might jump them next week after 1-8 Temple hurts UCF in the computers.

sbnation has us moving up to #15 (Fresno to #13). Mentions NIU/BSU as the first BCS impact game.

Great that means they probably gain 150 votes like MSU did, even in a week where NIU could make up ground, we wont because Fresno has a bye.

The writing is definitely on the wall that Fresno gets in if both go undefeated. Can someone explain the scenario where both get in?

I have been going through several whatif scenarios and I have to say I gave some false hope to the fact that both teams could get in a few weeks ago. I literally see almost no way both teams can make it right now.

Please, your half truths never end. Should the pollsters have left LSU, Miami, and Oklahoma ahead of 8-1 Michigan State? And NIU got jumped by UCF who had a quality win over a 7 win team. Even you said yesterday that you thought UCF would jump NIU, and NIU has a chance to get it back with wins over Ball State, Toledo, and the MAC east champ.

You think the pollsters would let that happen. I would challenge that a 9-0 has never been left out of the top 20. Ive checked back as far as 2004 coaches poll and could not find an instance. Please don't assume results on the field mean much at this point, I mean Louisville is #13 in the Coaches? That kind of tells you results don't mean anything.

We're in a 4 way tie for 18th. When is the last time the #21 team had 445 votes. If every voter voted a team #19, they'd have 420 votes.
