This is long. I first heard her on a Spotify playlist awhile back. One of those songs where you gotta stop the mower a sec, pull the phone out your pocket and do a screenshot so you know who it is later to properly Google-stalk.
Very powerful voice on such a tiny little woman. I liked her music but this session she’s interviewed around the 6 minute mark (after the song Uh-huh) and she is delightful. Her accent is British but it’s unlike any I’ve ever heard before. I hope she makes it big.

I liked it a lot. Probably one of my more favorite musical artist movies along the lines of say Ray, Rock Star, Straight Outta Compton, ect...
I liked that based on today's climate they brought up his bisexuality and his issues in dealing with it but not in a overly dramatic way but in a way to facilitate the story in the movie and how it affected his relationship with his parents, his girlfriend then wife, and in some cases the personal and professional relationships he entered into. I really liked some of the "behind the song" bits in the movie. IMO they nailed down the story of how the band formed, how they got a deal, how they moved on from that deal, how they broke up, and how they got back together to pull off that ending with the Live Aid concert in 1985. I don't know how the singing was done but my man really got down a lot of Freddie Mercury's mannerisms.

30th anniversary remaster hit last Friday....
While I haven't got it, I do think its time to rehash my Metallica story and then get into some of Justice! So, I had heard of Metallica, and even dug the video for One when it was current --especially that hard break beat towards the end of the song. But, that alone wasn't enough to convince me to get it. The The Black Album hit and I was totally in on Metallica. Then, later on, a coworker of mine was like so you like TBA? Well let me let you borrow this: Master of Puppets. Took it home and came back the next day telling him....not quite TBA but I dug it a lot. At that point I did go back and get their prior catalog cds. I think AJFA was was the epitome of their "old style." TBA was what happens when an already great band gets a good producer and helps them clean up some of their "flaws." Load and Re-Load were great rock albums but didn't sound like prior Metallica albums at all. St. Anger was missing "the thing" that Metallica albums had along with that annoying sound in nearly every song. Death Magnetic / More Magnetic were good return to form of TBA and prior stylings but it did also feel like they were trying to see if they could do what they used to at their current age. As far as the last cd, Hardwired, it is a true mix of their entire catalog.... it has songs that could fit into any Metallica album that has already been released. Off the two off cds, I LOVED ME SOME Garage Inc. Honestly, I think it is one of my top Metallica albums. S&M really sounded good and was a cool concept.

Thanks! I saw the movie last night. It was FANTASTIC. IMO, Remi Malek deserves an Oscar for "Best Actor" after his portrayal of Freddie Mercury. WOW! The Live Aid scenes were sensational, maybe the best I've ever seen in any movie, anywhere.
For those that are fans of Queen this is a MUST see movie. For those who just like Rock 'N Roll, it's still a must see. I highly recommend it to anyone with a pulse.

RIP Roy Clark:
I think the current top commenter for this video got it right when he said:
"The meaning of this song is hidden from the young; To them it is simply incomprehensible. However, as the years drift by, the meanings will become clearer and clearer until it comes into sharp focus later in life. Then, and only then will they really appreciate it for the magnificent song that it is. This will repeat itself with each generation. Such is life."
Just an incredible, incredible song, the kind people today don't even try to write anymore.
Songwriters: Charles Aznavour (wrote the original French version entitled ""Hier Encore", whose original French title translates as "Only Yesterday", originally released in September 1964. Herbert Kretzmer wrote the English-language lyrics.)
Performing Artist: Roy Clark
Album: Yesterday When I Was Young
Song: "Yesterday When I Was Young"
1969 Dot Records
History and Interesting Notes from Wikipedia:
It was subsequently released in English as "Yesterday, When I Was Young", in Italian as "Ieri Si", in Danish as "Hvor tiden går", in Japanese 帰り来ぬ青春, and in Spanish as "Ayer Aún". It is considered one of Aznavour's greatest hits.
The English-language lyrics, written by Herbert Kretzmer, tell of a man reflecting on his life. He recounts how he had wasted his youth on self-centered pursuits, and that, now that he is older, he will not be able to do all that he had planned; this implies that he may be close to his impending death.
In the United States, the best-known version was recorded by country music performer Roy Clark. His version became his biggest hit up to that time on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, peaking at No. 9 in August 1969, and indeed, it became his only top 40 pop hit, peaking at No. 19.

Happy Thanksgiving
You ever notice that there aren't many exclusive Thanksgiving songs? You usually get Christmas music. By the time Christmas rolls around, you are more than sick of Christmas music.
Amazing 'Grass(ish) Fiddle, banjo n' geetar - 'Turkey Chase'
Barry Guy Targett
Perhaps a belch song would be appropriate
