I don't know about improving to more then 10 or 11 wins in one year with him will happen, but I think they might make the playoffs now, since they'll have a good QB. They have the other talent needed, some area's are a little weak, but Eli could atleast gettem into the playoffs.

Well, I don't think that a draft pick is really a quick fix, no matter how talented they are. Eli will provide a lot of leadership and knowledge of the game to the team...and of course, his skill. What the Chargers need to do if in fact they plan to draft Eli is what the Colts did when they drafted Peyton. Figure out their strengths and weaknesses once Eli is drafted. Make quality draft picks of players who can make a quick impact in those areas, accept that you still may not have a winning franchise for a few years, and then build the team for the next two to three years. Building an NFL team is a marathon, not a sprint. Eli is definitely a good start.

I'm not convinced that they're taking him though. You have the veteran in Doug Flutie who can still serve as a good teacher, and a solid young quarterback in Drew Brees, who hasn't proven he's an NFL quarterback as of yet, but hasn't proven that he can't cut it either. They very well may draft in other critical areas.

I think the Chargers are going to trade that pick for more picks so it would be a moot point, and even if they take him, they are not going to improve that much in one year. They have Tomlinson and that's about it IMO.

I'm anxious to see where Eli ends up but I personally hope it isn't with the chargeless (outside of Tomlinson) Chargers.

Obviously, I would love to see him be a Titan but that isn't going to happen while I'm awake. However, with the teams that are in the running for him, I prefer the Chargers, for personal reasons.

Besides the personal reasons, I still think he will be fine in SD and have the opportunity to win there, much easier than AZ.

Yeah, I'd have to pick the Chargers if forced to pick between them and Arizona. There is no future with the Cardinals, and Emmitt is longing for that big blue star again.

The Chargers have at least been to a Super Bowl in the past ten years...despite getting hosed by the Niners.

Wish he would hang around Long enough for Green Bay myself, Favre is getting old, as much as I like him and want him around as long as he can be, I know we'll need a new QB sooner or later, and if I had my Pick Eli would be it. (Just a Dream)...

GO TIGERS!!!

ELI MAY OR MAY NOT GO TO SAN DIEGO. THEY ARE REALLY A POOR TEAM AND NEED HELP IN SOOO MANY AREAS. IF HE IS DRAFTED BY THE CHARGERS, DON'T LOOK FOR ELI TO MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE THE FIRST YEAR. OLE MARTY DOESN'T PLAY ROOKIES. IN THE 10 YEARS HE WAS AT KANSAS CITY, FIRST YEAR PLAYERS
SAW LITTLE IF ANY ACTION.

Marty is another reason I don't want Eli to go to the Chargers... I don't like that man and I think he is a terrible coach. 03-puke
