Name some of your favorite Thursday night matchups
I love seeing a good FSU vs GAtech or even a South florida vs Clemson match up! Heck BSU vs SDST is always a good one on a Thursday.

RE: Name some of your favorite Thursday night matchups
The highest rated Thursday night game was #5 Louisville's 44-34 win over #3 WVU on 11/2/06.

The best Thursday night game was WVU's 46-44 3OT win over Louisville the previous year (10/15/05). This was the game that served as the coming out party for Pat White and Steve Slaton.

the best Thursday night game was 2004- Louisville and Miami had a game. It was a great game- Miami barely won. It was in a lot of ways Louisville's coming out party to a lot of folks. Miami survived in a big comeback. TD's by Devin Hester and Frank Gore. Yes, Hester on a punt return!

Georgia earned their last national championship on a Thursday night.

That highest rated Thursday night game was great and the following week when Rutgers knocked off UofL was also epic. That helped sell the idea to other conferences that Thursday night games weren't a bad thing.

The WVU win in OT was on a Saturday afternoon Bit.

Yeah --- kind of bizarre that a WVU fan doesn't even remember that?!?!? It was a 3:30 game on ABC, played at the exact same time as PSU @ Michigan (PSU's only loss of the year in 2005, last second TD) and USC @ ND (Bush Push game).

RE: Name some of your favorite Thursday night matchups
Traditionally the Florida fans have always made fun of teams playing on Thursday. They would refer to Thursday as Scrubday. (That was big on ESPN's site.)

Funny but there aren't many Gator fans around any more. I wonder why?
