Hey Kerry - No more grinder ball. I know, you'll believe it when you see it.

I have not read it yet but grinderball will not work with the new rules. Just no way to do it.

I am glad my emails to the AD have resulted in the NCAA rules changing and our style of play with it.

100 point games around the corner. Hopefully we will be on the winning end of some of them.

Really? Is Mike Newell coming back?

Nothing to do with Newell. Has to do with 100 FTs per game.

Free pizza for everyone! And bring back the Johnson twins! They can play after we hit the 100 mark.

This year I doubt many people will stay around (and be awake) for some of these games.

Will this force Steve, and even Joe Foley to change their philosophy somewhat. In the past, playing defense was prime in getting playing time. So some players with limited offensive skills played a lot of minutes, which resulted in some boring, low scoring games. Obviously a player has to play defense, but will scoring skills become more important now than in the past, and will that determine the amount of playing time a player receives, rather than defense? I would think it might be difficult for a long time coach to totally change his philosophy, but some have criticized Steve in the past for trying to play Big Ten style ball without Big Ten type players. Maybe now he'll adjust to best utilize the type players he can recruit. It will be fun to watch.04-cheers
