RE: Somali elected to Minneapolis city council
He says he wants to effectively represent the people of his ward. More power to him. Wish more elected representatives would do the same. He also got many involved in politics who hadn't been which is always good.
“He might have generated more volunteer hours from those Somali people who are eager to participate in a democratic process than any of the mayoral campaigns,” said attorney Brian Rice, who has advised the campaign.
I don't care where he's from if he's proud to be an American and works hard to represent and help his constituents.
BTW the Somalis I know are fine people and really glad to be out of the hell that is Somali and now live in America and have real opportunity. The ones I know highly value education too.

It seems that a lot of home health/nursing homes run on Somalis and other African immigrants these days, because they are eager to have a job, even if it is cleaning up crap and piss. Their lives here are so much better than what they left behind.

Yeah, it's real subtle: Somalia is such a success that we should be replicating its culture in the US.
Do you know that he'd try to replicate that?
Have you read stories about what's happening in Minneapolis, Columbus and Nashville after they brought in large numbers of Somali immigrants? Or better yet, visited any of those places? Did you read about who supported him? And that he gerrymandered the districts to get blocs of support?
Yes, I used to live in Nashville, have been in both Minneapolis and Columbus recently. First cousins live in Columbus.
They are hard working immigrants happy to be in the US.
Not so much, but you are a lazy, freeloading POS, so I can understand your misunderstanding.
Quote:You anti-immigrants should just come out and admit your racism.
Says the anti-mormon bigot.
