due to our sweet heart deal with FEF, we only have so many 'series' opportunities, a series with uab will be far away, if they want to come to FEF then I am sure Josh will schedule them 04-cheers

An annual "Gene Bartow Classic" game would offer an opportunity to honor a man very important to both programs, raise money for cancer research, provide positive PR, and help our RPI (in most years). The game could be held annually and alternate home and home.

Or have a real Gene Bartow Classic each year with the four schools he spent time with - Valparaiso, MEMPHIS, UCLA, and UAB. Rotate the opening matchups and sites each year (Chicago, MEMEPHIS, Los Angeles, Birmingham).

Yes, I know Chicago is not actually Valpo but it makes better sense to have this Classic in a larger venue 50 minutes fromtheir campus. Plus Chicago would also bring in fans from Bartows sole season at Illinois.

I hope we wouldn't schedule UAB at the expense of scheduling another series. No one cares about the UAB-Memphis series, not even Memphis fans. We have to worry about our RPI. If UAB starts winning C-USA on a regular clip, then maybe schedule a 2:1 with them.

I just hope the football series soon to be announced that "Tiger fans will be very excited about" isn't UAB or USM.

Our athletic department overhyped the perfomer at Memphis Madness, and then delivered a geriatric one-hit wonder.

Pretty sure we could swap UAB with any of Jackson State, SE Mizz, NW State or UALR with no dip in our SoS. Plus going to the Bartow is a lot of fun.
