I will be there, donning nothing but Bruin colors. I hope it's a lopsided scoreline in our favor and 7 of our guys are in double digits. Here's to hoping we dominate the glass, as well.

I'm hoping the subs get plenty of playing time to get some experience quickly. The schedule begins to get tough early.

RE: Lipscomb
Not the game I was hoping for at all, but rivalries certainly take on another set rules. Foul trouble for both teams really flipped this game into a free throw shooting contest... one which we did not win. Ultimately, their hot shooting from the floor was thankfully negated by the fact that we turned them over 24 times. Going forward, we will have to rebound better and keep guys like Drew and Blake out of foul trouble.

On another note, all the new emphasis on foul calling is fine with me until the officials feel as though they are on a power trip. Higher scoring games are more appealing, but not when every team is playing with their backups backups. I counted at least 10 AWFUL calls of defenders standing straight up, doing nothing but playing fundamental defense, and officials whistled them for something as phantom as Casper himself. And that's regardless of team. Call the handchecks, arm bars, moving screens with more emphasis and I understand it has to uglier before it gets prettier, but standing straight up simply is not a foul.

As a spectator, the game was tough to watch and, at times, even unwatchable. As a fan I'm glad the Bruins pulled it out and got to 1-0.

I agree with what you said. I couldn't believe the number of calls with defenders standing straight up.

It will take a while for us to get our game together. I hope it begins tonight.
