We can have an (NCAA men's basketball) tournament, everyone can be in it. We can do revenue sharing. We can all brand together. We can all be Division I together. We can all have a big tent." Is he just talking BB or FB & BB. Is he backing off earlier statements about expansion being all about the P5 and what's good for the P5?

I just realized Mike Slive said almost the same comments about the same time; give us what we want or we will take basketball with us.

“We certainly have no interest in changing -- we want to be in what we call the ‘big tent’ -- there’s been a lot of talk about division four. We would prefer not to do that. We would prefer for all of us to stay in the big tent together. Have the basketball tournament stay the same, the revenue distribution remain the same. That we work in many areas where there’s shared governance"

The Major Conferences and their commissioners are in lockstep together. They may use slightly different phrasing when they make their statements but they all know what is going to happen because they are in it together.

They want to do as little as possible in order to be able to govern themselves but they will do whatever is necessary in order to achieve that.
