Former State coach Pat McMahon returned to Starkville for his first series with his new team, the Florida Gators against his old team, the Mississippi State Bulldogs. I bet he wishes he would have stayed home tonight. :D
State crushes the Gators 11-2.
Alan Johnson was moved to the Friday start and did not disappoint, going 7 innings, giving up 3 hits, 2 runs, walked 6 (ugh), and struck out 5. State had 11 runs on 19 hits.
State leads series 1-0.

thanks, but then again the doubt returned today. :D Our starter went 1/3 of an inning, gave up 3 runs, one of them he walked in with the bases loaded and was pulled with the bases loaded, I got up to check something and came back and it was 7-2 in the bottom of the 2nd. Watched a little more and got up to get something to eat, came back and it was 14-2 bottom of 4th. When I finally had seen enough it was 14-5 in the 6th. Final was 16-6, Gators. Well we still have Sunday to win this thing.
