ObamaCare price hikes hit 'red states' hardest

More Lies and dirty tricks. Equality?

Quote:Experiencing sticker-shock at the price of insurance on ObamaCare exchanges?

That's more likely if you live in a "red state" that didn't vote for Obama, according to price data compiled by the Heritage Foundation. In red states, premiums for 27-year-olds rose an average of 78% on ObamaCare exchanges, whereas in "blue states" that voted for Obama, premiums rose a smaller 50%.

RE: ObamaCare price hikes hit 'red states' hardest
I didn't like the article's explanation why. It stated it was because health insurance was less regulated in red states than in blue states and the new regulations caused the cost of insurance to jump more in red states than in blue. While this could partially be the cause, I would guess that there are several other factors that contribute equally to the higher price hike in red states. Among them would be lower cost of living, older population, more self-insured young people, less unions with exemptions, and a higher propensity for frying every meal (which there is absolutely nothing wrong with).

a large one is proximity to a hospital. More rural areas are apparently higher due to distance from treatments. Lib progs in their snazzy downtown studios can simply take a cab or ride the prius to the local ER if needed.

See how that works out for them in the 6 red states with Senators up for reelection. All 6 voted for Obamacare btw. Enjoy.
