EMU vs UT - My View and What We Saw
What To Look For:

• Alonzo Russell to be a factor with deep routes in one-on-one coverage
o Turned out to be Justin Olack along with Bernard Reedy
• Rockets to keep Tyler Allen’s KO returns from going beyond the 33-yard line
o The only exception was the last kickoff of the first half when Allen returned the ball to EMU’s 34 as time expired
• Tyler Benz to roll out, mostly to his right, to avoid Rockets pressure
o Yep
• Four QB sacks by the Rockets
o Three QB sacks and 8 QB hurries
• Rockets defense to have at least one INT
o One INT
• EMU to run a TE deep on a play action pass
o Yes with the pass overthrown
• Rockets to have more penalties and yards marked off than the Eagles
o Both teams had three penalties; EMU for 20 yards; Rockets for 25 yards
• Brogan Roback’s tendency to lock onto one receiver
o All night
• Majority of EMU pass plays will be short to mid-range routes to the sidelines
o Yes
• EMU QBs to throw deep into double coverage
o Yes
• Two TE-formation to the same side with running back running to that edge
o Did not see this play called
• Short and high kickoffs to contain Reedy’s returns
o Two of EMU’s kickoff were short, 47 and 39 yards, both away from #1
• Benz and Roback to play in both halves
o No, Roback played most of the game including the entire second half
• Rockets to score multiple times in the first quarter
o Three touchdowns
• If Bronson Hill plays the Rockets will hold him to less than 142 yards rushing
o Hill did not play but EMU was limited to a team total of 82 yards rushing on 27 carries!
• Dustin Creel to have multiple 20 plus yards receptions for EMU
o Yes, he had 6 catches for 115 yards
• Big yardage day for Bernard Reedy
o Reedy tallied 166 total yards including one rushing yard running the ball his first carry since the Potato Bowl
