RE: Coaches AND Harris Polls for November 3rd
I don't know how much the chance for baylor increases if Oregon loses to Stanford. OK maybe the % goes up and they have 10 times the chance. Instead of a .1% chance maybe a 1% chance. I just think this year there's not much respect for the Big 12 and there are a lot already that think FSU is better than Oregon.

I just don't see Baylor getting real close at all.
Baylor has ZERO chance of passing FSU, Oregon, or Alabama.

The only race right now is Oregon vs FSU for #2, and Oregon has about a 90% chance of winning that should they both remain unbeaten.
It's not ZERO chance, dude. It may be a small chance. But it's greater than ZERO. If Oregon loses at Stanford, the chance rises considerably, as long as Baylor handles their end of it.

Only way Baylor gets in is if they are the only or one of only two undefeated teams left. It could happen, but Ala and Oregon control their own destiny right now.

The Big 12 could sure use that Championship game this season to give it that late season nudge in the polls. I know the Big 12 felt like it got burned with its top team losing in the CCG. The reality is if a team is good enough, one more game against a high profile opponent from the conference can do nothing but help.

If the Ducks lay an egg at Stanford this Thursday night, FSU can walk into the championship.

Baylor can get in if the only unbeaten teams left are Alabama or Florida St and Ohio St. I'm sorry, but folks don't see Ohio St as being all that good at all. I think a big problem for OHio St would be the computers. If FSU and Oregon lose, you would have likely 3 real good 1 loss cpu teams- FSU, Stanford, and Oregon. I think you would find 2-3 of the computers that would have 1-2 at least of those teams wedged between Baylor and Ohio St. That hurts Ohio St. I think Ohio St would need a huge lead in the polls, and given everything, I don't think that happens.

My ZERO prediction is based on Oregon winning out, of course. If they lose, than an unbeaten Baylor would surely pass them.

And of course i don't mean "zero" in some technical/mathematical sense. Obviously, it's not impossible for Baylor to pass one of those three if they all win out. Was just trying to convey a sense of how VERY unlikely it is, and it is.

I'd say its pretty close to zero for Baylor to pass Alabama or Oregon. FSU is possible. Ohio St. is likely. Again, assuming all the teams keep winning. Let's put it this way, the odds of Baylor passing FSU if both win out are higher than all 5 of the major unbeaten winning the rest of their games.

I don't see it being much better for Baylor to pass FSU. Heisman candidate and team some think is best team in the country.

I'd put Ohio St as probable.

I kind of doubt having too many unbeatens at the end of the season is going to be a problem. We've lost at least one every week so far. I doubt that ends this weekend.
