Spot on. Harsh but true. Our D looked like a high school team at times yesterday. They need to bring their best games of the season the next two weeks. Turn overs will be key, but getting back to putting pressure on the QB would be nice as well.

It would be great to pitch shutouts, but its college football, offenses score. I thought the D did a goodjob, yeah it got a little sloppy late, but that was mainly a function of just so many different personnell running in and out. UT and BSU are going to score their points, they would against even great defenses.

Yep, book it.... UT is ok, but they don't believe they can win the big games.

Last week at BGSUX, Rockets drove about 70 yards late in the 4th quarter to get the go ahead score with a 1:22 left. The Falcons, UT's rival, were leading the MAC East, and has the #1 ranked defense in MAC. That last drive included a 3rd down/26 and a 4th/9 at the goalline. So obviously the Rockets know they can win big games.

I thought Toledo has started to come together the past two weeks. They've looked pretty solid. I know they have weapons, same as NIU. Both can be serviceable on defense.

I think it can be a very good game. I definitely think NIU is overall better, plus they have the best player. Playing at the glass bowl is tough though.

But BG isn't quite the team that NIU is, even though that's a rivalry.

Offense no comparison. Defense edge to BG.

The more I watch the MAC this year the more I realize that we have six really good teams that would be competitive in pretty much any conference

Big time players will make big time plays in these games for NIU and Jimmie Ward will have a say in the outcome. No doubt he has atleast one pick in each of those games. Won't be surprised if the line has great pressue on the QBs in both of those games too. Bishop is coming on stronger as the season goes on, like last year. I expect Bishop, Rainey and Ward to "take over" on D.

This is our time to finally prove that we are a great team and while I'm nervous, I think our team shows up and shows a national crowd how good we are.

Toledo? Glass Bowl? They have always played us tough, especially at their place. maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but this game scares me.

This is exactly how I feel, plus toledo has payback on us. I hope we start throwing the first punches in both games.....

Don't forget, if NIU beats Ball St. and Toledo beats NIU and wins out. Toledo goes to the MAC title game.

I agree. We need our D to step up, make some big plays and stay away from giving up the "big gainers".....make them earn it. And as always, avoid turnovers and stupid penalties. Two tough battles ahead.....let's take care of business
