Cichy hasn't dressed since the Anchorage game. Anyone know what's up?

RE: Saturday CC Game thread
Great weekend for Bronco hockey, it's just too bad there were so many empty seats. Then again, it is only November. I'm sure the place will be packed in 2014!

The NCHC Commissioner was in attendance tonight, and was pretty impressed with how the entire student section cheers as one unit - and he even seemed amused by some of the language.

I'm enjoying what I've seen (err, read in the box score...) from the team so far this season. Way to make a good statement this weekend in the NCHC, too!

Commissioner gave a good interview in intermission with Robin last night. I think this conference has some good leadership.

So he won't be leaving to coach Penn State after the season?

Good.

04-cheers

SWEEP!

I mention this earlier, I really like how the schedule sets this team up. Someone did a great job:

Week #1-Open up with a "tough" two gm series vs ND, a Sr. heavy top #5 ranked team. Great early test for the young team. Regardless of the outcome, a potential 3rd game vs the Irish eight weeks later will now provide an opportunity to see how the team may have improved and also an opportunity to avenge previous loses.

Week #2- Long, long .....road trip to Alaska, 2 games they should win

Week #3 off time to re-coop and catch up on school work after missing 5 days of school.

Week #5- NCHC Home opener verse CC, the #7 team in the league. Freshman starting to get their legs under them. Also important to sweep at home, cause the next two games at World Arena, on the big sheet and high altitude will be very tough

Week #6-Home non-conf vs. NMU, two more winnable games provides an opportunity to build some momentum

Week #7-Second NCHC series on the road vs DU, the #6 team in the league. Two more winnable games, but will be a high altitude test

Week #8-Home and Home vs MSU, two more very winnable games

Week #9-Nuetral road game at South Bend vs NE, another winnable game in a rink the team has already played this year. Possible sets up a re-match vs the Irish. Freshman will have 15 games it at this point and should be a different team from the first weekend

Week #10-Third NCHC series at home vs the Fighting Sioux, top #2 team in the league. I'd rather play these guys 1st at home, vs in the "Big House". Tough series.

Week #11-Fourth NCHC series on the road vs UMD, the #5 team in the league. Two more winnable game

Break for X-Mas. Team now has 20 games in, freshman are no longer freshman and should be prepared for a much tougher second half of the season.

^ Yup, it's certainly a tough schedule (ranked hardest in the country, according to some) but - as you point out - it's laid out really, really well.

CC later this year is going to be a double test, international sheet and at 6000 feet. No gimmes. We have the coach though, we'll be better than our record at year end, hope that translates into post season success.
