Those kinds of things can happen in a well officiated game.

RE: FAU vs Tulane
Here is the postgame press conference from Interim Head Coach Brian Wright via FAU reporter Dieter Kurtenbach. It's worth a watch. Pretty impressive stuff from a guy thrown into a tough spot. I don't know if he's the guy for the job full-time yet, but if he can win out and get to a bowl, he'd make a pretty strong argument for it.

How young? He looks as young as Texas Tech's Kliff Kingsbury who (BTW) is not doing that badly in Lubbock.

From an outsider's point of view, he did a great job yesterday against Tulane and on that (alone) should be considered to be your new HFC.

This season will bode well for yall once you move into the new "We Used To Be Big Time Wish We Still Were" AAC and into what would be a decent Texas 5-A high school sized on-campus football stadium, now won't it?

North Texas versus Tulane (w/o CUSA homer refs with a Cajun twang assistance) and in a 4 game series?

North Texas wins 3 and Tulane 1 and even some of your fans know that now.

Wow, talk about sour grapes. You lost, get over it...

How much ($) for those Bourbon Street The Night Before Wasted refs, huh?03-puke

Wow... I hope you aren't even remotely serious.

Not exactly sure how young he is (couldn't find his age on the FAU website)....probably late 30's or early 40's. Before joining FAU as OC last year, he was the OC at Youngstown State and Montana State, so he's got a few years of experience at good FCS programs. I'm not ready to say he'll be the Owls head coach yet, although I think he will be a legit candidate. I'd like to see how the rest of the season plays out first.

RE: FAU vs Tulane
Congrats Owls. You took it to us. Much deserved W.

We couldn't do much of anything. All that QB switching never works, especially as Montana is much better than Powell.
The one thing I didn't like is they called a penalty on FAU, but didn't walk it off. Such a dunderhead move is expected from a C-USA official, but our coaching staff should have been in their face about it on the field, and didn't say a word.

Great job FAU. Nice to bounce back after all of the adversity. Now go win the next 3 to get bowl eligible!
