Well at least this does away with NCSU fans stupid pretense that ECU doesn't matter to them. They cannot even lie their way out of it.

ECU has really gotten under the skin of the administration and fans of NCSU and ECU has even closed the ground on them academically.

Some people seem to think ECU fans are upset about this. We're not. We're incredibly amused.

The reason ECU fans love that logo so much is precisely because it annoys the crap of State and Carolina fans.

I said this elsewhere, but we're like that smaller, less athletic kid who talks a lot of trash. Putting that midfield logo up four years ago was like us saying "Hey, State and Carolina. You see that? Yeah, this State belongs to us! Haha! Are we annoying you yet?"

This is like State, the bigger but less witty kid saying back "Oh yeah! Well this is OUR State. See!!!" It's the kind of comeback that leaves everyone else in the room feeling a little embarrassed for them.

LOL -- until I moved to North Carolina, I had ZERO idea where East Carolina was... as a New Yorker, I use to say, so is East Carolina in NC or SC? So I find this extremely humorous!

I personally love they did it. Not only is it bad pub for them it's been good pub for ECU. Papers and radio shows all over the state have made us a topic in a game we have nothing to do with. Also it just highlights how much better the PSOM is when you see them side by side. I hope they try to do more bad rip offs.

Not only is the concept "borrowed", but their logo just looks compromised. The ECU logo was an excellent adaptation of their mascot, colors, and marks. NCSU does not do their logo or name justice IMHO. They are, after all, the wolf - PACK aren't they? And I thought their primary mark was the big S and little N and C. UNC's, there are two, first the old one, UNC in the the silhouette of the state colored blue, not the silhouette, the outer banks are missing.



Today, the outer banks are now there, but not a accurate "real" shape of the state showing the outer banks and the sounds.



Now, ECU's, it's a silhouette of the state accurately depicting the outer banks and sounds, with the Jolly Roger logo imposed inside, with the blank areas colored black.



Now, NCSU, it's a silhouette of the state colored red with the wolf head logo imposed inside, but note the silhouette. It's the same as ECU, accurately depicting the outer banks and sounds. They only changed two thing from ECU's design, that is Copy Righted.

One thing is for sure, this will make the NCState vs ecu games a little more interesting.??

Well, looking at the pic, you can see the green paint they used. It's a lot bigger area than the block S that they have been using. Look's like that could be true. But, damn they can't do a damn thing right.

Kinda, in 2006 they copied it some what to make fun of us for the game at Carter Finley.

But we had the last laugh, with 14 seconds left in the game, they lowered the goal posts.

The thing about State though, which is different from UNC, is they care about their football success as much as their basketball. I think that is why the game is more intense with them.
