UB won the cup in 1958..
Cincinnati would have played Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse and Connecticut during the conference schedule. That is not 50% of their schedule against east state teams as defined by this poll. They were eligible because all Big East teams were automatically eligible.
The MAC would have to add Temple and UConn back to the conference while Ohio plays Rutgers and Penn State in the non-conference for the Bobcats to qualify. Unless the MAC East became an automatic eligible division for Lambert purposes.
