Obamacare will do the same for the rest of America.
If Vermont implements universal healthcare bet a bunch of chronically sick people move into Vermont for the free government paid for health care! Vermont universal healthcare would be even cheaper than being subsidized by Obamacare.

You can't force people to have compassion, but not only are you doing it, you're deciding how much compassion each person needs to cough up. When you see a homeless guy, how much money do you give him?
I called my landlord today and asked if I could pay the rent with compassion. Now I think he wants to evict me.

I suggest you get your head out of the sand. The exchanges and what Ryan wants to do with Medicare have virtually nothing in common.

In a free country, you have the right to give every last cent you have if you choose to whatever your compassion tells you to. You can write the IRS a big ole fat check or have them withhold more from your paycheck to cover your government funded compassion.
What you do not have the right to is to take my money to give to what you have compassion for. That is theft.

Because Medicare was supposed to be a "SUPPLEMENT" To your current insurance plans.
