Unless Toledo loses to Buffalo, yes.

If Ball State beats us, they win the MAC West. Plain and simple.

RE: Current MAC standings
Mack is definitely the best player defensively, he will be highly drafted. Will he pan out, who knows it's almost always a crap shoot.
Ward is also very good. IMO, the second best defensive player in the conference. If not for Mack, I think Ward would have a shot a DPOY. Mack is going to win it though. Sylvestre, is having a big year as Boca noted.

I know they have a stud LB, K. Mack.
Mack has QB Sacks and Ints.. but is nowhere near the Tackle or Solo Tackle leaders for the Conference.
I noticed you tried making comparisons of Mack's totals vs your own DB's tackle totals on the main board. But, it's not comparable. Mack is the single most disruptive defensive MAC player. If you were an OC, would you run a play Mack's way after seeing what he did at tOSU? They run plays away, or gang-block him. Quinn mentioned Mack was double & triple teamed on over 50% of plays vs WMU. That just opens space for others to make plays. Or, he just fights through it or catches RB's on the backside for his MAC-leading TFL's. He nearly had his 3rd pick-six last week. There are already 7 NFL teams dedicated to scouting Mack a week before the Ohio game, since he'll be a 1st day draft selection.
Sylvestre's a Junior, first year at LB'er. At 6'0" 225 lbs, he runs a 4.4/40. He's been a MAC Defensive Player of the Week. a few times For the the CMU game 09/23/2013 , Sylvestre was The Performance Awards' National FBS LB'er of the Week and National Co-Defensive FBS Player of the Week. Against BGSU, he had 12 tackles and 3 sacks.
Dude....nobody in the MAC is near the player Mack is defensively. It's not even close.
Except statwise:
Sylvestre:
Games 8 Tackles Solo 48 Asst 40 Total 88 Avg 11.0 Sacks 4
Mack:
Games 8 Tackles Solo 32 Asst 22 Total 54 Avg 6.8 Sacks 8

That's wonderful. Mack is still the best defensive player by 78 miles.

RE: Current MAC standings
Again, Sylvestre having a heck of a year. But I really doubt he gets the blocking attention Mack does. I know both have a few defensive TDs as well.
Stats don't always tell the entire story. For example, Clowney having down numbers, but you wouldn't tell me that Sylvestre is better than Clowney.
Another example, Ken Bishop doesn't have out of this world statistics, but he's extremely disruptive and attracts a double team on almost every play. He has very few TFL, but is probaly the premier DT in the MAC.

You haven't paid much attention to the Toledo fans around here, have you?

I got that. I just tossed the stats out there just to show the season Sylvestre is having and used Mack as a measuring stick for MAC LB'ers.

I watched almost the entire Mizzou/Toledo game. They shot themselves in the foot. Int in endzone before half,INT return for touchdown beginning of third I think it was. They moved the ball for 3 q, got worn ot in the end it seemed.

I bet Mack draws more double teams. Same thing happened with Larry English. Stats don't always tell the whole story.
