RE: UTC Scrimmage
Although no score is kept, word I received was that we worked UTC pretty well. Scoring pretty close, if not exceeding, 100 points (and holding them to a hell of a lot less). But it's a preseason scrimmage against a team with a brand new head coach and some new faces.

Other notes...

Apparently UTC was a little "chippy" given that it was just a preseason scrimmage.

Also, heard the officiating in the intra squad scrimmages and this scrimmage is very different out on the perimeter compared to previous seasons. Hand checks, blocking call, etc are now a heavy point of emphasis and officials are calling nearly all contact on a ball handler.

I bet the guys sure enjoyed getting the chance to play someone other there than teammates though.

Good info. Thanks! UTC is trying the VCU, high-pressure, high-tempo style, so it is good to hear that our new backcourt was at least capable enough against it for us to do well. Of course, they are new to it, but that was probably a good contrast in style for us to face in a scrimmage.
