High School Playoffs
CLTV had the pairings friday night and the Daily Herald guy was gushing about having the playoffs at NIU. If it was up to him I believe he would want them here every year. I an curious as to how they will utilizr the Chessick Center for the playoffs

The games don't have big gaps between them, right? Seems like a good place for the players to warm up before hitting Brigham field.

If so, they'd better not damage anything or get the place dirty. Heck, I wouldn't even let them use the bathrooms!
In all seriousness, this would be a great way to show off our facilities to prospective recruits.

Hope the new hotel gets finished. They have been dragging with finishing that thing. Fairly idiotic not to push to have it done for our first home game.

Um, I am sorry to burst your bubble, but I used the bathroom in the CPC on Saturday. For some strange reason, I got an e-mailed bill this morning for the costs of cleaning, sanitation, sterilization, structural repair, and de-lousing from some hazmat company. Why do these things always happen to me?

What a great recruiting tool too. They use our lockerrooms, etc. We need to have Jordan Lynch milling around. lol

Especially if Mt Carmel or catholic league team is playing.

It obviously wasn't Edgy Tim.
All kidding aside, great to hear. I'm really anxious to see how it goes.

Annie Glidden, just south of the train tracks. Looks like it'll be a nice one.

by the way it's looking I doubt it will be ready for the playoffs. What a shame.

RE: High School Playoffs
My only fear is we won't be able to practice enough if we are in the MACC because the state playoffs are using the CPC. It's a great showcase to all of the football schools for recruiting though.

Your fear is unfounded. Carey will get the necessary time in the CPC for the Huskies to practice.

although this facility will benefit all sports, make no mistake about it, football will drive the usage.

RE: High School Playoffs
How are they doing tickets and seating? East side general admission, west side reserved like for NIU games?
I imagine most fans are there to see their own high school play. After their team plays and they leave do they sell that seat to the next game or does your one ticket get you into all the games that day?

The thought of someone sitting in my seat is somewhat disturbing to me. Maybe I should rope it off now. I'll only remove the rope if I like the person sitting there, and she has a nice smile.

Disturbing to you? How do you think the person that sits in your seat feels?
