We have 5 games remaining - home vs. UTEP, at UNT (on Halloween), home vs La Tech, at UAB and home vs. Tulane.

I'd say our defense has been pretty consistent all year long despite a few injuries here and there to key players. But guys have stepped in so even though we're now redshirting Nwosu, a preseason first-team all-conference linebacker, the back-up has been playing great. And generally our injury situation isn't too bad.

My guess is our defense will keep us in all of the remaining games and it's up to the offense to win the games. I really believe we'll go no worse than 3-2 with UNT and Tulane looking to be the toughest games but really none of the games will be cakewalks. If the offense continues to improve (and having a healthy Charles Ross at RB is key), then I think we could go 5-0. I could also see us winning the next four, mathematically clinching the west and then losing the final regular season game to Tulane.

It's unfortunate that our two biggest games may not have huge crowds. The UNT game on Halloween night will be less of a crowd than it should be because of the holiday. And we play Tulane the Saturday after Thanksgiving so that's another tough time to draw folks.

All we have to do is win.

If ECU beats Tulsa and NCSU but lose to Marshall, Marshall lose to Tulsa, and three teams (ECU, Marshall, MTSU) tied for first place

I would like to see an ECU vs. Tulane or Tulsa game for Cusa Championship......it was be a great way for two of teams leaving Cusa this season.

I'll be a little more general than some of the others. Tulsa needs to limit turnovers and the coaches need to call the offensive plays to play to their strengths. Turnovers have been Tulsa's Achilles heel this year.

Rice and UNT keep winning so that does not allow the Wave to take a deep breath. I believe we may have to win out and that is a tall order.

Fortunately, we got lucky again jamming it down UNT's throat in the last 3 minutes to win the game with 0 on the clock.

Refs won you that game whether you wish to admit it or not, and they were severely reprimanded afterwards with more than half of their penalties against us called back.

north texas is not almighty...our team just broke the back to back winning games snafu...finally won on the road...two in a row would be historic (at least in the last 9 years)...we like our team...they hit hard, play hard...just want them to win...

Marshall almost zero chance, now the question becomes how many of the remaining games can they win. If Thursday's performance is any indicator, I'd say 2 maybe 3 games.

So you're saying you think Marshall will lose to at least one of UAB, FIU, and USM? I really doubt that. I'd reckon chances are much better that Marshall wins 4 of the last 5.

Defense still lacks stopping power in key situations. MTSU converted 3 downs time and again. I think ECU and Tulsa are trouble for Marshall, UAB could surprise Marshall. I don't see FIU or So. Miss as a problem.
