Hannity then agreed to give the operator a year’s salary of $26,000 and to help her find a job.

She got fired because she spoke the truth.
Dangerous thing to do when you work for the government, or a government program.
Progressives and Liberals will not stand for someone speaking the truth.

Got to give respect to her though.
She didn't know that she would be covered by speaking up.
She could have just been out of work.
They would not even allow her to clean out her desk.

How many other government employees were fired for speaking negatively about the website,should they be fired?

Does the 1st amendment not apply to Government workers? I think this girl has a lawsuit, and for once I support a frivolous one.

Especially, if like she said, no one told her not to talk to reporters.
Even if, what right would they have to tell her that?

It was stated last night that if you add up all the known contracts of money paid out for this
one website that the costs exceed one billion dollars.
Makes you wonder Kathy S. who got some of that money?

For what? Is she in a fire at will state?

The first amendment does not mean there are no actions for your words. If you don't believe me, go tell your boss how much he/she sucks in a profanity laced tirade and let me know how that turns out for you.

This lady was on the job for 5 weeks, making a whopping 26 grand a year to support herself and her young son (I think that's right) and gets fired for answering a simple question.

Gotta be impressed with the compassion of this cabal. Next thing you know they'll be denying veterans death benefits to fallen soldiers families...

No she got fired to doing a radio interview about her employer. I'd get canned for that as well.

1st amendment does not guarantee you a job, nor that an employer can't sanction you.

While I hate those that are in power right now - I too would probably be unemployed if I did a radio interview about my employer unless I only talked rainbows and unicorns.

I would argue that's true, unless you're employer is the Government.

Of course this has been the standard in prior administrations, but people seem to give Obama some special pass.
