If there are extra seats at the peanut free table then I believe he can sit there. The priority goes to the kids with allergies, however, so if the table is full then my son has to sit at a regular table since he does not have a peanut allergy.

I need to figure out a way to think about this crap. My son had a 4 year old little girl from the neighborhood over and I was eating peanuts. She asked me for some so I gave her some, not even thinking about it. My wife about killed me and luckily, she isn't allergic.

Having a kid with a dairy allergy has been illuminating.

To be honest, it hasn't really meant many lifestyle changes at my house outside of having to cook with a dairy-free butter substitute (delicious expeller pressed soy bean oil, emulsified into a spreadable mash!) and making sure we bake him dairy-free cupcakes to take to parties. (Duncan Hines makes regular mixes that don't have dairy as an ingredient but are not "marketed" as dairy-free.)

One big one that isn't talked about a lot is latex. One kid at our school has a latex allergy and only Mylar balloons are allowed for parties. Additionally the nurse had to get special gloves made out of non-latex.

Again, it's not terribly imposing to work with people to lower the risk of allergic reactions. Especially so for kids.

The Marxists are erecting the utopia. They are a widespread and very organized network.

Many of you probably think Glen Beck is off his rocker. He is also very right.

Yet they also report that kids come to school on Monday morning and tell the teachers they didn't have anything to eat over the weekend. Does someone see something wrong here?

The Dems have a bill in Congress to codify these programs and make them national.

What's wrong is that some kids have the misfortune of being born to terrible parents.

This is the kind of thing that should be handled by private charity. All of the schools in my town are supplied with this by the local churches. I delivered 70 bags this morning to 2 of our schools. I am told by the teachers that the need is very great. We started this program 2 years ago because teachers could tell that many students came in on Monday's hungry because they simply had nothing to eat over the weekend. It is damn sad actually.

I submit that the way we do this is the correct solution. The teachers monitor this program and make sure that only students in real need receive the bags. You know damn well if this type of program went national with funding...it would suffer massive abuse and costs.

I agree. I can't understand why this problem occurs with all of the money we spend on social welfare. I live in a very economically depressed area and I am sure some of it is simply due to that...but...I also believe as you do that there are just some sorry ass parents involved.

I knew it. I've alway believed that you were a Glenn Beck listener.

I am too.

Only I don't listen to him because I believe anything he says but because it's a train wreck every time.

BTW marxists wouldn't put up with people with allergies, they would simply have them shot.

Have you used coconut oil? It's pretty dang handy..

Tea Party is terrorists, per the moronic Left.
Now, Brown Baggers are terrorists.
Maybe we all are terrorists, and we just have not been told by the Left yet.
